Thanks to the movie Flashdance, ankle and leg warmers were most popular during the 80s when the style was copied and then started being worn with stir-up pants or leggings and follow those with the ankle or leg warmers then your calf high socks and your shoes. Some people even pushed the mold and would wear high heels with these other items. UUGH! So 80s! But it was the style and most loved it. Unfortunately, ankle and leg warmers have gotten to be something that only a dancer or a rebelious teenager would wear nowadays. But they don’t have to be paired with leggings or worn just to be stuck in the 80s.
During the winter months, you can wear ankle or leg warmers under pants suits or even pair them casually with a skirt or dress and if paired the correct way, they can help compliment your outfit then squash it completely.
