Bike Shoes for that Dedicated Bike Rider
Monday, December 15th, 2008
Bike riding is one of the things my husband and I absolutely love. We load up our son, who is five and the dog who only weighs about 40 lbs. in the bike trailer and we take off for hours. We sometimes pack a lunch and ride to a park here in our county that is about a 45 minute ride and have lunch. One of the things we have found is that not just any shoe will do for hours and hours of riding. Here are a few bike shoes that we have either owned or have friends who own them and swear by them.

• Rocket 7 Bike Shoes: These shoes are for serious cyclist and even newbie’s. They are handmade in the USA and form to your specific foot shape. They are great for long rides and don’t cause the foot to ache after a few miles of riding.
• Adidas Adistar Ultra: Made in China with a carbon laminated with foam core. The sole is comfortable and a sturdy buckles to keep the shoe on your foot during hard rides.
• DMT Flash: Shoe is made in Bosnia and has carbon laminate. Has vent holes all through the shoe to allow it to breathe.
• Shimano SH-R300: This shoe is a shiny silver color with a stiff sole that is comfortable yet efficient during your ride. The come vacuum molded to fit any foot shape.
• Sidi Genius 6.6 Carbon: This shoe has “bike tour” color type coloring about the shoe in line green, red, black and even silver. Buckle closure along the side and Velcro straps along the top. These shoes are heat vacuumed to form around you upper and insole.
