It’s bike-riding-season once again
Sunday, May 31st, 2009When spring and summer roll around the best things about the season is pulling the old bike out and taking off on long adventurous rides. What could be better than that? Is the gear in which you take off in on those rides. Here are two socks along with a few other accessories to add to your bike riding collection.

1. Giddy Up Socks in Dude Girl: These socks are above and beyond some of the best bike socks made. They are ankle high with the Giddy Up logo on the sock cuff and are an awesome color of red with a hint of black in certain places along the heel and the toe. Pair these awesome socks with the Giddy Up Jersey in Dude Girl as well. The socks can run about $15 while the bike jersey could run about $100. They pair nicely together and won’t weigh you down during your ride.
2. Cycling Ultra Light Smart wool Socks: Made from wool, nylon and a bit of spandex for comfort and secure fitting. They are naturally ventilated and come in the ankle version or the high-up ankle version, but both are awesome to wear with biking shoes. Pair these socks with a pair of biking knickers like the ones sold through Terry Bikes. Make sure the ones you choose have the padded seat for comfort on long rides.
If you are looking to start out bike riding or even if you have been riding for quite some time, it’s always best to come prepared and have the best equipment with you when riding. If you go the cheap route you will regret it about 2 hours into your ride. Check out your local bike shop for these and other biking apparel and accessories.
