House shoes or house slippers as some refer to them as; have been around for a long time. They are above all the best way to keep one’s feet warm besides a pair of socks. And children’s house shoes serve the same purpose as well. Of course the house shoe has developed into something that is more a way of “dress-up” for kids more than keeping their feet warm, but parents know what their purpose really is.

I did some research online to try to find the cutest and neatest looking house shoes that any kid would sure to love.

1. Scrub: Always scrub your feet, even if it’s once a week. You should always keep a heavy duty exfoliate in your shower at all times no matter what and replace it when it starts getting worn. This way you can easily eliminate dead skin on your feet every time you take a shower or once a week.

2. Moisturize: Lotion is the best way to keep your feet looking and feeling smooth. Don’t slather on lotion before you put your shoes on, because your feet could slip up and down in the shoe and cause yourself blisters. It’s best to moisturize once you get out of the shower. If you are going to wear high heels that expose parts of your feet, use a moisturizer with sunscreen in it.

3. Trim: If you get your nails don’t professionally ask the pedicurist to make your nails rounded. Square toenails are just too out of line to the way the nail grows and will grow. If you keep your nails trimmed, they will stay cleaner and the polish you apply to the nail will last longer as well. And always choose shoes that don’t hug against the nails. This can cause them to break or even stop growing completely. Never cut your nails too short either. You run the risk of a nail infection doing this technique. Cut as far down as the end of you toe starts. Experiment with different polishes too, this is always fun. Go with red for about 2 weeks, take a break then try a light pink or blue. It can be so fun to play around with toenail color.

Rich is an artist, simply put and according to his MySpace page, he states, “art is what I was born to do.” And he does it quite well as a matter of fact. Shoe Boxers loves original shoes and Rich’s Ghost Rider shoes scream original. It’s a great talent that has come along way. With any type of design Rich can create it.

He has many artistic prints that he has put on paper, a few that caught my eye is the one titled the Padres and the other is the orange flower with Chinese symbols across the bottom. The coloring of the art is so bright and speaks to you as you view it. This same art coloring has been carried over to his shoe design and in time Rich’s shoes will take off and be in great demand.

Even though the shoes I have passed down to his cousin, Ryan, I still hang onto the fact that the shoes made the boy happy. The bright colors also made anyone who saw him in the shoes, happy as well.

With the many selections that Puddle Jumper Shoes have, it’s no wonder parents and their children everywhere are happy to see the shoes as well. Shoe Boxers went back through and found two that are the favorites.

Of course the first favorites are the same pair my son had, the Brown Three Stitch. It is made so that it is the perfect shoe for the prewalker. • The Shoe Bank: The Shoe Bank has been providing shoes for children here in the United States and over seas every year for the past 19 years.

• Boulder Running: This company is one of the best. Runners from Boulder, Colorado send their new or near to new running shoes and even equipment to three world countries.

Even if your aren’t close to any of these donation groups or would rather give back to your own area or country to ones in need. You can donate your old shoes that are in decent and near new condition to any Goodwill location or even Salvation Army location. These location take more than just unwanted shoes, they also take household items and other clothing items too. So do others a good service and get rid of those things taking up space in your garage and give to those who really are needy and could definitely use them.
