Looking for a Great Christmas Gift for that Child? Why not House Shoes?
Many people don’t think about house shoes for children during the holiday season of shopping, but kids love house shoes. Character house shoes and even house shoes that make their feet look like something totally different than their feet when they look down. My son, who is five by the way, loves his house shoes his Namaw got him for his birthday. They make his feet look like big ape feet. That is actually what prompted me to write this post.
House shoes or house slippers as some refer to them as; have been around for a long time. They are above all the best way to keep one’s feet warm besides a pair of socks. And children’s house shoes serve the same purpose as well. Of course the house shoe has developed into something that is more a way of “dress-up” for kids more than keeping their feet warm, but parents know what their purpose really is.
I did some research online to try to find the cutest and neatest looking house shoes that any kid would sure to love.

• Giesswein: This company is a knit work company based in Australia. It was founded by Elisabeth and Walter Giesswein. They carry wools house slippers and other knit work slippers that are just adorable.

• Boden: This company is based in the United Kingdom and has the best quality made clothing as well as house slippers anywhere. My son loves when the new videos of the photo shoots come out. He always says he “wants to be a Boden boy”. Their slippers come in Girls’ Duvet Slippers in blue, red and pink and the Boys’ Duvet Slippers in camo and blue skull and crossbones.

• Garnet Hill: This company is based in Vermont and New Hampshire with regular stores and outlet stores. Their children’s house slippers are red and made with all-natural material. They have a horse and carrot theme to them and are the cutest.

Hi! I work in marketing at Garnet Hill and saw your post about kids’ slippers. I want to let your readers know about our other, more popular slippers, including Geisswein styles, that they can find here: http://www.garnethill.com/mercadoSearch.do?action=search&newSearch=true&freeText=kids+slippers or by searching for “kids slippers” on our site. The cute horsie booties you’ve featured are just for infants, but we have many slippers for kids of all sizes — adults, too!
