Where Have all the Keds Gone?

In 1916, the Keds brand was introduced by the U.S. Rubber Company as the first national athletic and lifestyle footwear brand. At this time, the shoes were called sneakers, a term invented in late 1916 by Keds advertising agency because the rubber soles made the shoes quiet. Worn by fashion icons, leading actresses, Olympic soccer players and scores of National and International tennis champions, Keds has been a symbol of classic style and performance innovation throughout the 20th century.
The women’s line has several varieties and selections to choose from such as, “Champion“; “Classic Sport”; “Rave”; “Kedettes”; “Sandals”.
The men’s line is spilling over with great styles for the todays man, with selections to choose from such as, “Lace Ups“; and “Slip-Ons“.
With the kid’s line there are a lot of kids that could do without shoes and with Keds they make it so kids want to keep their shoes on. With selections such as:
• Hook & Loop
“Junior Girls Line”
Keds have styles for everyone in the family and every type of style for the most picky shoe shopper. If you have gotten away from the Keds line because they are “old school”, come back to them and make them “new school.”
