Droors Clothing Company isn’t as popular of a name as DC is to some. The emblem shown below may relate to a lot more readers of Shoe Boxers than just the DC name.
DC has been around since 1993 and the DC part of the label originally meant
Dope City Footwear, but in 2004 the creators of Droors Clothing sold the company to Quicksilver for about $87 mill and DC brand continues. The company is based in Vista, California and continues to create DC labeled apparel, bags, hats, beanies, socks, stickers and snowboards as well. Along with the snowboards the company still makes the footwear to accompany those rad snowboards and skateboarding as well.

Quicksilver the DC Shoe Company is still going strong with their making of quality products for snowboarding, skateboarding and just about any other sport you need a good pair of shoes for. There is a lot to the company since it started and with the selling to Quicksilver nothing has changed but the owners.

Crocs seem to be the ugliest shoes on the planet to some, but a lot of people like them, but it may not be enough to save them.
Crocs recently ran into issues with the company and it could be blamed on the economy more than lack of interest in the shoe line…..Or is it? The company recently cut over 2,000 jobs and lost $185.1 million last year, and to top it off the company is stuck with several shoe styles that just aren’t able to peek the interest of anyone lately, which means a lot of debt.
Crocs came on the scene in 2002 and became the number one shoe for many people. A lot of shoe companies had a hard time keeping up with them as the demand for Crocs grew.
For those who love Crocs, the good side of the issue is the company has till September to pay off their mounting debt that is ranged in the “millions” and they have recently come out with new styles to help with the sales. On a recent trip to Las Vegas and old friend almost let the temptation of Jimmy Choo get the best of her.
